This year’s tour on 24th June enjoyed the beauty and tranquillity of Woodbastwick Church, followed by the wonderful architecture and sumptuous rood screen at Ranworth. The Revd. Canon Nick Garrard led the tour and astonished all by opening the security case and carrying the unique (and heavy!) Antiphoner across the church to a lectern. He then turned the parchment pages for us all to enjoy the manuscript verses and responses. All were amazed that the colours of the illuminated letters were still incredibly vibrant. The afternoon was rounded off by tea in the churchyard at Hemblington, kindly provided and served by several of the Friends of All Saints. For once the weather behaved itself too. Feedback from participants was very positive. Income from the tour will go towards the repairs that need to be undertaken at Hemblington over the next 3-4 years. Thanks to all who attended and all who helped make it such a successful afternoon.
