The Hazards of the Journey

A free talk by Imogen Corrigan titled “The Hazards of the Journey: Pilgrimage and Travel in the Middle Ages” on Saturday, 7th September at 2 pm. In this talk Imogen looks at travel in the Middle Ages, how people organised themselves for long journeys often in appalling conditions, who was travelling and why. Refreshments will be provided and donations to the Friends will be appreciated.
