This annual event is held every year on the first Friday in March. This year it is on Friday, 6th March. The organisation behind this event is led by Christian women from 170 countries, bringing together many races, traditions and cultures to share in a common day of prayer. This year the service is the work of Christian women of Nigeria. The event is not intended just for women, but it is meant as a gift from the Christian women of Nigeria to Christians the world over. The theme is “I will give you rest, come”.
Our local service will be held at St Lawrence Church, Brundall at 2pm. To complement this, we will be holding a morning of prayer, reflection, fellowship and a chance to learn something about Nigeria at Hemblington Church from 10.30am until 12.30pm. This will be followed by a simple lunch and end about 1pm, allowing plenty of time for those who wish to attend the service at Brundall to get there. Everyone is welcome.
